My name is Josh Endes, the maker behind Wilder Knives of Alaska. The name Wilder stems from my family in Vermont and the Wilder Farm that goes back 200 years. And being born and raised in the great state of Alaska I have always enjoyed the outdoors from hunting and fishing to camping and hiking.

Knives have always been something I’ve been using since I was a kid and I’ve always carried a knife in my pocket for as long as I can remember. What started with a curiosity about the knife making process soon turned into a hobby, and then quickly became a side business as people saw my knives and began requesting custom knives to be made.

While I continue to work full time as an electrician, I put my spare time into this side business. Knife making has become a passion of mine and I love being able to create tools that can be used out hunting, fishing, in the kitchen and for every day tasks. With good care a quality knife can last a lifetime and be passed on to the next generation.
